The program helps students build an essential career foundation by providing an understanding of criminal justice, procedural constitutional rights, the American judicial system, multicultural approaches, terrorism, gender law, contemporary issues in law enforcement, and immigration and border issues.
Graduates are well prepared to work in federal, state, and local law enforcement, public safety, corrections, courtroom systems, for the U.S. Military, immigration and customs enforcement, social service and human rights organizations, and a variety of related professions. This major is also excellent preparation for earning an advanced degree.
